Johnny Depp is mad and wants 50 million USD from Amber Heard, we may see Imperator Furiosa from Mad Max again and The Gravity apparently didn’t make any sense physics-wise.

Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard – the war continues

So who’s lying: Johnny Depp or Amber Heard? Whoever of the two was physically abusive during their short-lived marriage, it’s both of them refusing to stop fighting. Their divorce seemed like a done deal back in 2017, with Johnny Depp paying a settlement of 7 million USD and the couple stating their “relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love. Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm.” 

But then, Heard decided to write a column called “I spoke up against sexual violence — and faced our culture’s wrath. That has to change.” She didn’t mention Depp’s name, although the op-ed clearly suggests that she was his victim. As a result, the actor was fired from a Pirates of the Caribbean film. Consequently, Depp sued her for 50 million USD and this week, Heard failed with her request to force him to dismiss the lawsuit. The actor is now officially allowed to continue his quest to clear his name – maybe we’ll finally learn the truth. 

Imperator Furiosa should be back… at some point

Pretty much everyone was mind blown by George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road. Imperator Furiosa portrayed by Charlize Theron immediately became a feminist icon, and it would be a crime if this character doesn’t get more spotlight. That seems to be a plan, albeit a bit delayed due to coronavirus. Miller has already met with 23-year old Anya Taylor-Joy to talk about a role in the next Mad Max, which may (or may not) suggest that it could be a prequel about Furiosa’s roots. Can’t wait!

Celebrities panic buy, too

As the coronavirus crisis descends on the USA, Hollywood is shutting down as well and celebrities head to their residences to self-quarantine. Joaquin Phoenix, Charlize Theron, and Gwyneth Paltrow were all seen getting ready for some alone time!

NASA astronaut isn’t impressed by The Gravity

The Gravity, Cuarón sci-fi thriller with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, was undoubtedly a gorgeous film that deserved all its accolades. But… Did it make any sense, physics-wise? Apparently not so much. As NASA astronaut Chris Hadfield pointed out, some parts of the film are “so far from reality that I want to turn my head”. Check out his outlook on space films such as Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar,” James Gray’s “Ad Astra,” and Stanley Kubrick’s “2001: A Space Odyssey.
