FILM BUZZ OF THE WEEK 10

Samuel L. Jackson says “stay the f**k at home”, Star Wars fans can dig into amazing Rise of the Skywalker concept art and Timotheé Chalamet & Armie Hammer will meet once again in a sequel to Call Me By Your Name.

Stay the f**k at home – Samuel L. Jackson said so!

Samuel L. Jackson, the “coolest guy in quarantine” (according to Jimmy Kimmel), says: stay the f**k at home! Jimmy interviewed the actor through a video chat, and Jackson made sure to remind everyone not to go outside in this own way. Trust us, you want to hear him read a poem which includes gems such as “motherf**ker, there is no time to gamble, look around, you’re not at a casino, just stay the f**k at home as if your name was Trenton Quarantino.”

If you want to stay home while enjoying awesome films, we’re waiting for you at Filmzie! No subscription, no fees.

Finn could have had a secret brother & more alternative Rise of the Skywalker storylines

Rise of Skywalker was… not everyone’s cup of tea. It is the worst-reviewed Star Wars movie since Phantom Menace, with a “rotten” 52% Rotten Tomatoes critic score. Die-hard fans of George Lucas’ space opera now have a chance to wonder about all the what-ifs thanks to a brand new book The Art of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Written by Lucasfilm creative art manager Phil Szostak, the title explores the stories and plot twists that didn’t make it to the film. It also includes previously unseen concept art and omg – seriously, do check it all out on Polygon

Call Me By Your Name lovers will be reunited

Timotheé Chalamet and Armie Hammer, one of the most dreamy couples in recent cinema history, will be back in a sequel to Call Me By Your Name. The director Luca Guadagnino confirmed it to La República. The upcoming film will be based on André Aciman’s novel Find Me, which explores the lovers 10 years (and later) after their goodbye in Call Me By Your Name. Brace yourself – what if we have to live through another excruciating, heartbreaking, several minutes long close-up of Chalamet’s Elio crying?

Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, book edition

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood was an epic endeavor for Quentin Tarantino, who orchestrated a masterful recreation of the ’60s LA atmosphere. Clearly, the director fell in love with the world he created – previously, he announced a spin-off, and now there could be a novel in the works! “I hadn’t thought about that until recently. But now I’m thinking a lot about it. I might be writing a novelisation to Once Upon A Time In Hollywood,” he said for the Pure Cinema podcast. Whatever he does, we’re sure it’s genius, and we certainly hope he won’t keep his promise to stop directing after 10 films.
