He’s decided to keep everyone’s spirits up with Some Good News, a YouTube show focused solely on the bright side of life. In the 2nd episode, he somehow managed to connect the whole original cast of Hamilton through Zoom. They even performed a song together for an adorable star-struck little girl – we officially have goosebumps ?

Pedro Almodóvar reminisces about his awkward dinner with Madonna
Legendary Spanish director Pedro Almodovar wrote an essay full of his memories during his isolation. Perhaps most interestingly, he threw some shade at the pop queen Madonna and based on the director’s experience with her, it’s not surprising. Apparently, she used Almodóvar’s party as content for her film Madonna: Truth or Dare without permission. “Madonna treated us like simpletons, and I had to say it one day. She didn’t ask for permission to use our images, and she even dubbed me,” the director explained. On top of that, she was overly interested in Almodóvar’s guest, Antonio Banderas, who was married at the time – and she told his wife to “get lost.” Wow ?
David Lynch’s spiritual quarantine
Mental note – take advantage of the quarantine at least as much as David Lynch. As he told Vulture, he is making tiny lamps in his woodshop, meditating, and expanding his consciousness. While he isn’t planning any new films at the moment, he hopes that the cinema as we know it will survive after the world returns back to normal. “Let’s hope that shared group experiences will never go away. I’ve heard people talking about the longing for a return to theaters where people can come together. It’s something that I don’t think will disappear.”
More than 20 years later, The Others will get a modern remake
Deadline reports that Sentient Entertainment has bought rights to remake The Others, one of the most memorable modern horrors. Could there be a better time to let yourself be terrified by a story that is essentially about social distancing?
The new Batman with Pattinson will have a humanist bent
…as expected from Matt Reeves, director of films such as Dawn of the Planet of the Apes or Let Me In. “I wanted to do not an origin tale, but a tale that would still acknowledge his origins, in that it formed who he is. Like this guy, he’s majorly struggling, and this is how he’s trying to rise above that struggle. But that doesn’t mean that he even fully understands, you know. It’s that whole idea of the shadow self and what’s driving you, and how much of that you can incorporate, and how much of it you’re doing that you’re unaware of,” Reeves said for The Nerdist.
